Gals go fabric hunting.

Hello my dears!

Yesterday I had a really busy day. I met up with Amelie who came down to London for a few days to see the band D so we could go shopping and once again (for the third time in 2 weeks) look for fabric for college.

I wore my new tshirt that I got from Urban Outfitters last week. I don't know why, but I couldn't resist buying it. It's a bit flimsy but I like how it has longish sleeves rather than cap sleeves.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekC4ZH2dkUQ?hl=en"><img alt="Play" src="http://www.gtaero.net/ytmusic/play.png" style="border:0px;" /></a>

I also spotted a very similar t-shirt in Egg magazine that had a frayed hem. I guess if you were brave enough you could achieve a similar effect with the UO one.

Picture stolen from my other blog ukgyaruguide.blogspot.com
I wore it with these items~

Top: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: Topshop
Socks: River Island
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell at Office Shoes

I also wore it with a chunk silver chain necklace which I have misplaced...

I should have taken a picture of my hair and makeup because I was quite proud of it. My hair was kind of channeling Mickey Mouse like these guys.

I wish my hair would stay up like this haha
Kumickey
I'd never done my hair like that before but it looks quite cute. Amelie let me borrow her W♥C head-consuming leopard print bow to complete the look. People looked at me like I was mental. Well, at least I didn't look boring!

I went into a shop on Oxford Street that I hadn't been in before, called Miss London (it doesn't seem to have a website). It's a cute shop, nothing out for the ordinary but the prices are quite cheap in comparison to most of the shops on Oxford Street.

I got this skirt for £13

There's several layers of different material including a polka dot one with lace attached and a seee-thruogh fabric which I have no idea what it's called..

The quality isn't amazing but it was a good price and it's a versatile skirt.

Then me and Amelie got on with business; fabric hunting...

After going into a ton of shops and getting lost several times, I managed to get hold of some white cotton velvet which I would dye this rather fetching shade of panama blue from Dylon.

I I Dyeing time

Stir for 15 minutes continuously and let it set for another 45.

There was a hole in the third finger on my rubber glove so my finger is now blue. Huzzah

Two days later, my finger is still slightly blue...

I'm starting to look around for things to buy for university such as crockery and cutlery. I feel like I'm getting my own house! I've been looking for cute Rilakkuma plates and the such, I wanted to be surrounded by cute things at uni!

If you know of any good sites that sell cute home ware please let me know ^.^ I'll probably do a mood board of all the stuff I want for a future blog entry haha

Emmie's hipster shopping trip

Long time no blog! I've been so lazy~

The weather's been so lovely recently I just haven't felt like doing anything but I ventured out today to London do some serious shopping as I've been having withdrawals.

I went to Oxford street, as usual! It's usually pretty quiet on Wednesdays, especially at around 11o'clock, the time I normally go up there but it was strangely busy today...
still didn't deter me!!

So on reaching Oxford street, the heavens decided to open and it was basically a torrential down pout of rain the entire time I was shopping. Somehow this caused one of the soles of my boots to come away from the rest of the boot, not that you could really notice it but I'm a bit annoyed that I can't wear them anymore... in the bin they go!

SO my first port of call in Oxford street was Office Shoes! I haven't bought shoes in ages but I did go in there for a specific reason...

Lets see what's in this giant-ass bag....

SHOES OF COURSE. But they're not just any shoes...
 They're Jeffrey Campbell 'Lita' boots
 IN TAUPE SUEDE!!!

This probably means nothing to a lot of you but basically I've been wanting to get hold of these hipster-magnets for a long time and I've only just bought them and I feel all tingly inside~

When the shop assistant brought them out I nearly had a heart attack and when I took them to the till  was suddenly surrounded by another 2 staff congratulating me on my excellent choice of footwear and that they all had a pair. I felt like I was a member of an elite club!
 THEY GO WITH EVERYTHING.

Oh yeah on with the other stuff. After feeling guilty over spending £120 on shoes (£108 with student discount!), but still in clothes I decided to brave Primark.

Primark is Oxford street a force to be reckoned with especially when its raining but I was brave ;_;
I wanted to try a vintage- [how I hate that word]esque look, hence why I bought these particular things. I don't normally buy clothes like these but I wanted to try something different!

and obviously I'll put a Gal twist on it when I style it up~

Simple black bag. It's spring now and as much as I love my furry River Island shoulder bag, I shall put it away for next autumn/winter.

it doesn't really show up in the photo but it's faux leather.

Rope necklace thingy. I don't know what attracted me to this, maybe because I've been staring at too many Mode-gyaru brand web-stores recently but it's quite lovely! It makes me want to wear a bikini and hunt for a beach.
Leopard print wrap. I don't know what you're supposed to call this silhouette (I thought it was a kimono sleeve top, but there seem to be no kimono sleeves...) It's really sheer and feels like chiffon. You can wear it tied up, as pictured, or let the the ends hang down.

It looks quite peachy in the picture but the skirt is more of a terracotta colour with cute little razor pleats.
It was called a size 8/10 but when I tried to pull it on, I could hear threads in the top hem snap as the elastic stretched x_x That's Primark quality for you aye!

A trip to John Lewis looking for black gel eyeliner (which I forgot to buy =_=) I came out with the blusher I posted in my March Want list; Nar's Angelika!

The camera flash drowned out the pink a bit but if you look on My want list 2 entries back, you can see it's true colour~

and lastly, a cape. I didn't buy this from London, I ordered it from ASOS a few days ago and it happened to appear on my door-step when I arrived back from London much to my delight!

On the hanger, it does look like it's just a blanket... Come to think of it, it basically is; a blanket with a slit going half way through the middle.

It sort of just hangs off your arms. It's super comfortable and perfect for Spring.

~

I had my 4th and 5th (it was a double lesson) driving lesson today and nobody died and I didn't total my instructors car so in my opinion that was a very successful day of driving!

I shall leave you with a song

Gyaru meet-up and Sascha's visit to London!

Last Saturday was a big gal meet in London!
It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G for so many reasons! 1) I was with Amz 2) I was meeting up with all my gal friends 3) I was going to be meeting new people and 4) Sascha was coming to meet us!!

The meeting was scheduled for quite early at the morning (10:15 T^T).  Me and Amz were in a rush to get out of the house on time because we didn't time our morning properly. We were in such a flap when we got to our meeting place but everything worked out fine XD

Ruth was the first to arrive. We hadn't previously met her before but she is soooo lovely ♥ and then Sascha arrived decked -out in awesomeness! It was too cold to wait outside for the others so we went to Starbucks to get some coffee and go to the Trocadero while we waited for the rest.

Ruth told us to act natural so we spazzed out and was like OK ERMM HOW DO WE DO THAT
Welcome to the Corner. I can guarantee that any groups of Gals in London will sit here, it's like tradition haha. We soon got bored and went to play in the arcade.

Failing on the Parapara machine. I know most the routines anyway but srsly , it's really hard when you have to follow arrows x_x

Marie and boyfriend Chris were next to arrive, they caught us mid-DDR. I tried forcing Marie to go on DDR but she lay on the floor and insisted that her limbs didn't work LOOOL.
Me and Sascha has a mini DDR battle, we both kind of failed XD I blame the buttons not working properly.

Then Jada turned up =D We've known Jada for a while from FB but this is the first time we've met up with her. Her hair is amazing ♥ Then we decided to all go and do Purikura while our hair and makeup were still intact.

From top left to right then down to the right: Chris, Marie, Jada, Amz, Ruth and me!
Marie's facial express is what we fondly call ' the cave-mouth woman' face. Long story, yes she is sititng on my head

 OOH lookit, it's Sascha!

Dec's face ♥ He was rocking a white kanekalon weave, it was awesome.

On getting to China town, we bumped into Dec and Caryn who I haven't seen in forever ;_; We only saw them briefly and took purikura.

Then off to get food at Mr Taro because we were all starving and for some reason I can't stop damn eating recently. GOD THIS STUFF WAS SO TASTY I forget what it was called but I could have done with eating another bowl full. Farrah, who I last saw on New Years turned up too!

On the way to Camden we bumped into Eilish who I haven't seen in FOREVER as well as Kei who popped up soon after and we went off to Camden, brielfy saw Ellie and Chriss and went to Cyber Dog to jam like the cool people we were. (It played a really cool song but I don't know the name of it and it's annoying me D:). in the spur of the moment we decided to go to Harrods and check out the pets section. They were so cute, I wanted to steal them all. Poor Sascha was getting dragged around by us XD

After that, we all went back to Covent Garden and sat in yet another Starbucks. Rei then turned up, who I haven't seen in forever!

Farrah with her coffee and Rei sitting on Amz and me.

Then a few people had to go D,: so the remaining of us went back to the corner to chill.

Marie is forever making retarded faces xD

We just sat there for like an hour quizzing Sascha on how to say things in German. Tiredness set in and we kind of flipped out and started trying to dance, lay o the floor and asked Sascha how to say things in German. Sascha must think we're insane :D. Rei took a video but.. I don't think I will post it becuase I am shameful and didn't think rei would upload a video f me rolling on the floor screaming I AM LEE JOON ...! If any of you are friends with any of us on FB, it'll probably be there.

We also made a new friend XD A girl approached us because she saw us doing random para routines an flidding about and asked us if we did Parapara. I was over enthusiastic and immediately said YES I DO -talk at 123098 MPH-  she said it was really cool to see people around the Trocadero who aren't cosplayers so we talked to her for a while and that was cool~. I think it's awesome that she had the confidence to come up to a bunch of people she'd didn't know and strike up a conversation!

Our Corner is located right where B-Boys and girls like to dance so that's why there are people ni the background.

Soon after it was time for everyone to go. Rei got stopped by 2 Irish guys who asked why there is no Circus in Oxford Circus, she then said to them "before i say anything, can you please say 333,333". The complied xD  Then they kissed her no the cheek and ran off.

We then said our goodbyes to everyone and Amz, Rei and I headed off towards our station. The conversation we had on that walk from Leicester Square to Charring Cross was one of the funniest I've had in ages.

And then Amz came back to my house and we just sat and drank tea and watched youtube videos.

It was such an awesome day! I can even express it. It was so nice to see old friends again, see my current ones and meet some new ones! I'm so happy we got to finally meet Sascha, he is so lovely and put up with our craziness and taught me new German words :3 I hope everyone had as much fun as me and Amz did. We will definitely meet up with everyone again ♥

Also, we finally managed to get hold of Chris and style his hair after much discussion of making him into a gyaruo (wish we took pictures, it looked amazing) and he totez wants to be gyaruo now! We severely  lack Gyaruo in England (there's 1 here) so we all got excited when he said he wanted to try the style! He started up a blog to talk about his progress into it. Stalk his here and send him lots of love and encouragement on his journey to gyaruo-dom!

Ok I've seriously been writing this forever. Another entry to come up in the next few days about my new hair and contact lenses. RIGHT. FOOD. WHERE IS IT.
