I'm back from my hectic weekend in Birmingham with my waifu Amelie! It was so much fun~
Here's what went down on Friday;
After a nerve-wracking journey to get my train to Birmingham from Marylebone Station , with ticket confusion and whatnot, I safely made it to Birmingham at 11:30pm and was picked up by Amelie and her flat-mate James and we set off for a hunt for a drive-thru McDonald's. That plan failed as the place shut as soon as we drove up to the microphone so we went to Tesco and bought some pasta.
HOLY CRAP. It's the hollowed out skulls of Buzz Lightyear fulled with hot chocolate! Only 75p. BARGAIN. Amz already had one... we had way too much fun playing with these.
We ended up getting to sleep at about 4 in the morning because there were so many things that had to be done i.e. me laughing at the house deco, dancing, fan girling, watching shows, making up new words, generally spazzing out.
Feeling dead and gross from lack of sleep, we got ourselves dolled up
Hello Am'z boobs haha! Amz did my hair with Suji on the top. i wish I took a proper picture of the result because as soon as we went outside, the wind and rain destroyed it D,:
We wondered into town ...
the buildings are so pretty there!
This stall was giving out free hot chocolate
As eager as I was to check out Forever 21, we gave into our stomachs and got some food.
Needed more rice, but was still yummy!
and then off to Forever 21!
Birmingham is the only place in the UK to have a store so I was SO EXCITED, I went a bit mad.
Me and Amz intended to make a blog entry about possible gal co-ordinates in Forever 21 but I think we got a bit over-whelmed by its awesome and just shopped for ourselves haha!
I wanted to make a W♥C inspired outfit so I found these 3 lovelies!
|(I'm getting so lazy with making pretty graphics now)|
It's quite simple but it can always be done up with accessories
I especially love the skirt~ It's made from a polyester chiffon so it's really floaty and shiny. On another note, this shade of blue (like primary blue) is supposed to be very fashionable this coming spring! (according to Vogue)
and this skirt for £23. It looks a big mad and granny-ish but I have great things in mind for this skirt.
While flicking through this month's Vogue I saw quite a few dresses that had short opaque skirts underneath layers of long see-through skirts so I decided that I'm going to cut this skirts lining to mini-skirt length and hopefully it'll look awesome =D
We didn't spend too long ni the town because we were so tired fro the night before, plus it was a long wlk to back Amz's house so when we got back we just chilled.
Pretty disco light things Amz's house mates were shining on the wall.
The next day (Sunday) we were going to go to the cinema but agani, we went to bed too late and ignored our 8am alarm and just slept in lol! We eventually crawling out of bed and went off to town again and wonder around before i had to get the train back.
Amz showed me this awesome crepe place
The walls were such a pretty colour!
I got an apple and cinnamon one.
We wondered around the shops again and then it was time for me to leave my beloved wife and head back to the land of Kent. D;
Birmingham was so much fun. I don't get to see Amelie that often so it's always super fun to see her. I'll definitely be making another trip down there soon and next time we shall sleep better so we can cram more in.
In other news, I love this song
