UK Gal blogs~

Hi people~
I decided to talk about something a little different, instead of prattling on about myself like I always do so today I decided to talk about UK gals!

Gal is a relatively new phenomenon in the UK, only properly emerging from the shadows about 3 years ago with the creation of the country's first gyaru-sa, Booteek. After a somewhat "dodgey looking" beginning (ahem Yari) Gal quickly flourished into something truly fabulous!
(I was going to write a bit more about the history of Gal here but that would be an entire entry in itself.)

As an observer/member of the community over the past 4 years, it's been an intriguing thing to watch grow and change. Everyone I've met from it so far has been, as well as very fashionable, incredibly interesting, well-rounded and true to themselves which is so refreshing nowadays~

So instead of rambling on, here are some of the Gals and gal blogs from the UK
(this is your cue to start following them)

Hi, meet my wifey! We came to the conclusion that we share brains because we think so similarly.  Amelie is the founder of new London-based circle Delight!~ She's pretty new to gal but her progress has been super fast and she always looks cute and her hair styling skills are bad-ass! Stay away from her if you have long hair, because she will tie you down and style it against your will. Her style preference is the more cutesy style of gal but she's not afraid to experiment!~

I love Alanna's posts, they're super interesting and I always refer back to them to inspiration!~ Alanna mainly blogs with inspirational photo spams of Gals which focus on the more mature/mode side of Gal (which makes a nice change from the frilly cutesy trends that are so popular at the moment) and makeup reviews, interesting ones. Normally I dislike makeup reviews because they're pretentious and well... boring but Alanna's are neither of these things and are fun and easy to understand with colour swatches and mini tutorials~
Bloomzy's posts are super interesting~ She recently moved from the UK to Tokyo to study Japanese so she talks about her adventures out there, her buys and anything new to Gal in Japan that us Western gals might find interesting like popular brand shop fronts and news, and gal related media like new promotions, street events, model news, posters and brand booklet snaps etc. She even has interesting interviews with various bloggers and other members of the Gal community, which are super insightful!

The newly pink-haired Eilish has been mentioned quite a few times on my blog in the past, her being the leader of the ex-circle I was a part of,  Hibiscgyaru. Bullshit rumours aside, she is infact a really nice girl, really interesting to talk to and above anything, damn determined, striving and succeeding in whatever she sets out to achieve which I really admire. Her life's been pretty wild at the moment with her recent trips to Japan, Tsukicon and other adventure around the UK.

Meet my second wife Lucie~ Even though she's like 4 years older than me, I feel that there's no age gap between us! She shares my love of perversion and Kpop ♥ She's from Manchester which makes her blog all the more interesting because, the majorty of Gals in the UK are from in and around London, like myself and we hardly hear about the lifestyle of gals from anywhere else so it's really cool to hear about other gals from other parts of the UK... plus her accent in cool haha XD

There are many more amazing gals in the UK, so to the
others who do have blogs, please don't be offended if you weren't mentioned ♥

Damn this took me way WAY too long to write, I have to stop getting distracted... So yeah. Send them some lovings because they're amazing~

in other news, it was my birthday on Sunday! Last year of being a teenager D,:

and I'm off to bed~

  1. The gal scene in the UK doesn't seem to be as well known as other areas in the world, so I think this post is a great way to spread the word about UK gyaru!! Cute!
